Meeting Topic: Journey to Leadership

Speaker:  Dr. dt Ogilvie, Dean, Rochester Institute of Technology, Saunders School of Business

Dr. Ogilvie earned her Ph.D. in strategic management from The University of Texas at Austin and also holds an Executive MBA degree from Southern Methodist University. Her research is in the areas of creativity, design thinking, ingenuity, strategic decision-making, women’s leadership and entrepreneurship and economic development. Dr. Ogilvie was one of 100 recipients who were recognized at the World of Difference Awards dinner for her contributions to the economic empowerment of women by The International Alliance for Women.

Before coming to RIT, Dr. Ogilvie served as professor of business strategy and urban entrepreneurship at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Rutgers Business School at Newark-New Brunswick. While at Rutgers, she was the founding director of The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development and founding director of the Scholars Training and Enrichment Program.
